"‘Willow Bank’ was my first project with Cornerhouse Building Contractors where they were the Main Contractor, and I was Architect, Owner and end user of the property. Cornerhouse won the project through tender and their portfolio of interesting and unusual projects both of which were crucial in my decision to appoint them.
The project was a major refurbishment of a 1960s property, built as an early ‘A-Frame’ house. After 60 years it had been extensively modified and with decades of wear and tear, the building was taken back to the structure and re-built including extensions and new build elements.
Cornerhouse gave me confidence in the project from the start and it was clear that they managed their workload to give the project the attention that was required. I always felt they were in control of the project having constant site attendance, regular independent Health and Safety audits and a well-kept safe and tidy site.
Cornerhouse listened and understood the construction needed for this project and never flawed despite the complexities of some of the construction detailing.
Whilst their attention to detail and their desire to produce a quality project was exemplary, Cornerhouse also stand out when dealing with site issues with a complex build. They brought solutions and options for discussion, not problems to be resolved by others.
I would highly recommend Cornerhouse Building Contractors to anyone as a very able and co-operative contractor, particularly with un-usual or specialist projects, and I look forward to working with them again."

The Old Hay Barn at Frog Hall, is a concrete, portal framed barn conversion, set in open countryside, and presented many challenges for Cornerhouse.
